Becoming a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farmers means joining a life-long fellowship of like-minded people from all walks of the farming and food industries.

It gives an opportunity to give something back to the oldest industry of them all, especially in the field of agricultural education. Our Advanced Course in Agricultural Business Management is renowned throughout the industry, both here and abroad, and our work with the City Farm Movement links country to town in a very practical way, to give just two examples.

Our formal events are splendid occasions on which to enjoy our fellowship, and to bring your guests to experience City traditions, often in wonderful, historic surroundings.

To join, you would ideally have a Proposer and Seconder from the Livery to get the ball rolling. If this is not possible the Clerk to the Livery can suggest other avenues. You then become a Freeman of the City of London (a fascinating part of the process) before being formally ‘Clothed’ as a Liveryman.
